Standing in Priory Road (Burying Lane), the hall serves as a
memorial to the Reverend Dr. Alfred Gatty, who was vicar of Ecclesfield from
1839-1903.
The hall was paid for by public subscriptions and cost £1,300.
To this day it continues to serve as a venue for community groups.
